PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 24, 2026. Last updated: October 24, 2026.

1. Introduction

This policy explains what Furnace Repair Quincy (“we,” “us”) does with your information when you visit https://furnacerepairquincyma.com/, call the phone number on this site, or ask for furnace repair in Quincy, Massachusetts and nearby areas.

We wrote it in plain English. If you disagree with any part, do not use the site or submit a request.

Short version: we collect the details you give us so we can send your request to a furnace repair contractor. We do not sell your information for money. We never ask for payment card numbers on this site.

2. Website Operator and Business Identity

Furnace Repair Quincy owns and runs this website.

We are a lead and referral service. We connect homeowners and tenants with independent, licensed heating contractors. The contractor who visits your home sets the repair price, does the work and holds the license and insurance for that work. We do not do the repair ourselves unless a page says so.

Contact us at hello@furnacerepairquincy.com, (617) 555-0132 or Quincy, MA.

3. Information We Collect

Information you give us:

  • Name, phone number, email and the address or neighborhood where you need service
  • Details about your furnace: fuel type (gas, oil or electric), brand, symptoms, and any photos you send
  • Anything you write in a form, text or email

Information collected automatically:

  • IP address, browser, device type, operating system and screen size
  • Pages viewed, time on the site, the page that sent you here and the search words that brought you
  • Approximate location based on your IP address
  • Call details: the number you called from, the time, the length and the call outcome

We do not collect Social Security numbers, bank account numbers or payment card numbers. Please do not send them to us.

4. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you: forms, calls, texts and emails
  • Automatically: cookies, pixels, tags and server logs when you use the site
  • From our service providers: call tracking and analytics tools that tell us which page or ad led to your call

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Answer your call or form and send your request to a furnace repair contractor
  • Text or call you about your request, including arrival windows
  • Improve the site, fix errors and see which pages help people
  • Measure our marketing
  • Prevent spam and fraud
  • Follow the law and respond to legal requests

We do not use your information to make automated decisions that have legal effects on you.

6. Sharing Information With Furnace Repair Contractors

When you submit a request or call, we share your name, phone number, service address or neighborhood and the details of your furnace problem with one or more independent contractors so one of them can contact you. They may keep and use that information under their own privacy policies.

We may also share information with:

  • Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, form handling, call tracking, texting and analytics companies. They may use your information only to do work for us.
  • Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety, rights or property.
  • A buyer, if we sell or transfer the business or this website.

We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state laws define “sell” or “share” more widely, to include some advertising and analytics tools. See Section 16 for your choices.

7. Phone Calls and Call Tracking

Calls to the number on this site may be routed through a call tracking service. It records call details, such as the time, length and your number, so we can tell which page or ad led to the call.

Calls may be recorded for quality and training. Massachusetts requires every person on a call to know about a recording. We tell you at the start of the call. If you do not want to be recorded, say so at the start, or end the call and send a form request instead.

If you give us your number, you agree we may call or text you about your request, including with automated technology. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to a text to stop texts. Consent to calls or texts is not a condition of getting service.

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small files saved on your device. Pixels and tags work in a similar way.

We use:

  • Necessary cookies to run the site and forms
  • Analytics cookies to count visits and see which pages people use
  • Advertising or measurement cookies to learn which ads or searches lead to calls

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block them, some parts of the site may not work well.

9. Analytics and Advertising Tools

We may use tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads conversion tracking and a call tracking provider. These companies may collect information about your visit and may use it under their own policies.

  • Google Analytics: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
  • Google ad settings: adssettings.google.com
  • Network Advertising Initiative opt out: optout.networkadvertising.org

10. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the reasons above, unless the law says to keep it longer.

  • Form and call lead records: up to 24 months
  • Call recordings: up to 12 months
  • Analytics data: up to 26 months
  • Records we need for legal, tax or dispute reasons: as long as the law requires

When we no longer need information, we delete it or make it anonymous.

11. Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), limited access and trusted providers. No website or storage system is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute protection. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.

12. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your information
  • Stop texts or marketing calls (reply STOP, or email us)

Email hello@furnacerepairquincy.com with the phone number or email you used. We may need to confirm it is you. We reply within 45 days, or tell you why we need more time.

If we have already sent your request to a contractor, we will ask the contractor to follow your request, but we cannot control what they already hold.

13. Children’s Privacy

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If a child sent us information, email hello@furnacerepairquincy.com and we will delete it.

14. Third-Party Websites and Services

This site may link to other websites, such as Mass.gov, Mass Save or a contractor’s page. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Read their policies before you share information.

15. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Preferences, Where Applicable

Some browsers send a Do Not Track signal. There is no common rule on how to respond, so we do not change how the site works for that signal.

We do honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as an opt out of sale or sharing, where the law applies. You can turn GPC on in your browser or with a privacy extension.

16. California and Other State Privacy Rights, Where Applicable

If you live in California, you may have the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and to limit use of sensitive personal information. You will not be treated badly for using these rights.

Residents of other states with privacy laws may have similar rights. Email hello@furnacerepairquincy.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and we will handle it under the law that applies to you. You may also use an authorized agent. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our answer.

Categories we may collect: identifiers (name, phone, email, address, IP address), internet activity (pages viewed), approximate location, audio recordings of calls, and the details you tell us. We collect them for the purposes in Section 5 and may disclose them to the parties in Section 6.

California Shine the Light: ask us once a year which categories we shared for the other party’s direct marketing. We do not share for that purpose.

17. International Visitors and Data Transfers, Where Applicable

This site is meant for people in the United States, and it covers homes in Massachusetts. Your information may be stored and processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers work. If you visit from outside the United States, you understand your information will be sent to and handled in those places, where privacy laws may differ from yours.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. We will post the new version here with a new date. Continued use of the site after that means you accept the change.
