TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Terms and Conditions
Effective date: October 24, 2026. Last updated: October 24, 2026.
1. Introduction and Acceptance of Terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Furnace Repair Quincy (“we,” “us”) about your use of https://furnacerepairquincyma.com/ (the “Site”). By using the Site, calling the number on it or sending a request, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Site.
2. Website Purpose and Scope
The Site gives information about furnace repair in Quincy, Massachusetts and lets you ask for service. We connect you with independent heating contractors. We are a referral service. Unless a page clearly says otherwise, we do not perform repairs ourselves.
3. Eligibility to Use the Website
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You must own or rent the property where service is needed, or have the owner’s permission to ask for it. You may use the Site only for lawful reasons.
4. Furnace Repair Services and Service Inquiries
When you call or send a request, we may pass your details to one or more contractors so one of them can reach you. Sending a request does not create a contract with us for repair work. If you accept a contractor’s visit or quote, your agreement for that work is directly between you and the contractor.
5. Appointments, Estimates and Pricing
- Arrival windows are the contractor’s best estimate. Traffic, storms, snow and earlier jobs can change them.
- A diagnostic or trip fee may apply. The contractor tells you the amount and whether it comes off the repair bill before the visit starts.
- Prices on the Site, including starting prices and ranges, are examples and not an offer. The real price is the written quote from the contractor after the furnace is tested.
- You should get the written price before work begins. You may decline the work and pay only the agreed diagnostic fee.
- Taxes, parts and after hours fees may change the final cost.
6. Third-Party Contractors and Service Providers
Contractors are independent businesses. They are not our employees, agents or partners. Each contractor is responsible for its own licenses, insurance, workmanship, pricing, warranty and compliance with Massachusetts law.
We check that contractors hold the licenses they report to us, but we do not supervise their work. Ask any contractor for its license number and insurance certificate, and check the license with the state before work begins. Any warranty on parts or labor comes from the contractor, not from us.
7. No Guarantee of Service Availability or Results
We do not promise that a contractor will be free, will arrive at a set time, or can fix your furnace in one visit. Parts may need ordering. Some furnaces cannot be repaired safely or at a sensible cost. We cannot promise any result, price or savings.
8. Website Content and Information Disclaimer
The Site offers general information about furnaces, heating costs, local weather and Massachusetts rules. It is not professional, legal or financial advice. Laws, prices, fuel costs and assistance programs change, so check official sources such as Mass.gov and masssave.com before you rely on them. A technician must inspect your actual furnace before anyone can say what is wrong with it.
9. Emergency and Safety Disclaimer
The Site and our phone line are not an emergency service. If you smell gas, hear a carbon monoxide alarm, see smoke or fire, or feel sick or dizzy, get everyone outside and call 911 first. Then call your gas utility.
Do not use the Site to wait for help in an emergency. Do not try repairs on gas lines, gas valves, wiring, safety switches or heat exchangers yourself. Those jobs are for licensed technicians.
10. Acceptable Use of the Website
You agree not to:
- Send false, fake or spam requests, or requests for someone else without their consent
- Harass, threaten or abuse our staff or any contractor
- Try to break, scan or overload the Site, or get around its security
- Scrape, copy or resell Site content or lead data by automated means
- Use the Site to break any law or the rights of others
11. Intellectual Property and Copyright
The Site’s text, design, logos, graphics and code belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view the Site and print a page for your own use. You may not copy, republish or sell our content without written permission. Other companies’ names and marks belong to their owners.
12. User Submissions and Contact Form Information
You must give accurate details in any form, call or message. You keep ownership of what you send. You give us permission to use it to answer your request, pass it to contractors and run our business, as described in the Privacy Policy. Do not send payment card numbers, bank details or Social Security numbers.
By giving us your phone number, you agree that we and our contractors may call or text you about your request, including with automated technology. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop texts. Agreeing to calls or texts is not required to get service. Calls may be recorded, and we will tell you at the start of the call.
13. Third-Party Links and External Websites
The Site may link to other websites, such as Mass.gov, Mass Save or a contractor’s page. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promise that the Site is accurate, complete, always available or free of errors or viruses. We do not warrant any contractor’s work. Some laws do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of this may not apply to you.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, including lost time, lost income, property damage, or harm that comes from a contractor’s work or a missed or late visit. Our total liability to you for any claim about the Site or our referral service will not exceed $100 or the amount you paid us, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not let us limit, including for fraud or for harm we cause on purpose. Your rights under Massachusetts consumer protection law are not affected.
16. Indemnification, Where Appropriate
You agree to cover our reasonable costs, including legal fees, if a claim against us comes from your misuse of the Site, your breach of these terms, false information you gave us, or your violation of someone else’s rights. This does not apply where the law does not allow it.
17. Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and share information, including call recording, cookies and your rights, is in our Privacy Policy. It is part of these terms.
18. Website Availability and Changes
We may change, pause or remove any part of the Site, its pages, prices or features at any time without notice. We try to keep the Site online, but we do not promise it will always be available.
19. Suspension or Termination of Access
We may block or end your access to the Site, and stop passing your requests to contractors, if you break these terms or misuse the Site. You may stop using the Site at any time. Sections that should survive, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law, stay in effect.
20. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms follow the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and we agree that any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts that cover Norfolk County, Massachusetts, and you agree to their jurisdiction, unless the law gives you the right to sue elsewhere.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date. If you keep using the Site after the date, you accept the change. Check this page now and then.
